Have faith in yourself and the people you love.
Religions are divisive and anti-social. Look at the Middle East. Need i say more?

The best thing to do is what feels best for you. If you believe some aspects of christianity and some aspects of some other religion then believe in that. I believe I am in the same boat as you when trying to discover a religion for myself. The main thing I have discovered is that I truly belive in one god(monotheistic) and that if I could follow just one teaching it would be to follow the golden rule. Treat others as you would want to be treated yourself. This teaching has been found as a teaching in several different religions and I'm a firm believer in it.

Clear your mind. Go with your gut. What feels right? Do not be influenced by guilt or fear. Consider this, God created everything. The Sun, the Earth, everything! Now do you really think a being of such infinite power gives a darn if you go sit in a room every Sunday listening to another human? My God is not that petty, I hope.

I know you must believe and know something greater than yourself exist and you also must rely and depend on that source such as air water food & shelter other wise you stop existing!
therefore one should acknowledge and worship the creator of all thing and that is Allah swt! I could and would never rely or create a false diety so there for it is best to belief worship and trust in the creator of all things and that is Allah swt and my religion is Islam!!

I have learned a little about many different religions, and the one thing they all have in common is that they all teach that if you don't go their way you are going to hell. Isn't God supposed to sort us all out? I will myself believe that whatever good I do will be my reward, and if there is a heaven, maybe I will have made the cut. I will teach my children to believe that what they di will come back to them ten-fold, good or bad, so be good for goodness sake;) People are constantly asking, wwjd, well I am asking you, what should you do? It is not that I don't believe in God, it is just that I am reserving judgement.

I myself am more happy since i freed myself of religious constriction. things make more sense. I think religion itself is made up to control the masses. I don't think this is what god wanted. Fighting over who's going to Hell. Personally I know I am not going because i believe this physical realm is the closest to hell were gonna get.

I say it better 2 go with your own faith and tell your family that your not a religion person.i kind of think that religion is some big skam 2 make you think that god is real or if you sin your going hell or something like that.

I like your idea of taking aspects of all religions, plus your own faith, and people around you. God can be manifest in many ways.
