That sounds about right according to this website.

One important note is that you should spread that out over an entire day. Drinking it in a short amount of time can be unhealthy for you unless you are physically active and losing water through perspiration.

You'll have to go to the bathroom a lot if you do that, and you'll probably flush out some nutrients. No serious harm would come from it. It has been recommended that people drink 8 glasses of water per day (about 2 liters), but that recommendation has long been debunked. It just happens that our bodies use 2 liters of water per day, but a lot of that water comes from food. So, you should drink at least enough water to quench your thirst, and at most whatever you're comfortable drinking. If you're working outside or live in a desert you will obviously need more water. Good luck!

The pros of drinking water include hydration and rejuvination for your body and its tissues. The con, if you drink in excess of 2 gallons in a few hours, is overhydration or water-poisoning. By taking on too much water and not enough sodium and electrolytes, your tissues become watered down and your brain suffers from chemical imbalance. Many people have died from this. 2 liters is a healthy amount though so you're fine.

in short, drinking more water is good for you, because it gets toxins out of your body faster. (ie, it makes you pee!) this is important for your long-term health for more reasons than we currently are able to understand.
short-term, drinking water is good for your skin, prevents you rom getting a headache, prevents bloat, and prevents false feelings of hunger.
How much is too much or too little?
The 8-cups per day rule is very random. It's not based on anything scientific and doesn't take into account the water content of your food, other beverages you might be drinking, temperature, etc. While it does consider exercise, it ignors type and intensity of exercise. INSTEAD OF COUNTING GLASSES OF WATER, LOOK AT YOUR PEE! If it's yellow, you're dehydrated and need to drink more water. If it's clear, you're well hydrated and don't need to worry.
It's very hard to drink too mucy water. Almost impossible, actually. Your body isn't stupid, and if you're trying to give it a toxic amount of water, your body will let you know. You will feel sick or even throw up involuntarily. There are NO cases of death due to overhydration that don't have other factors. The most common cause fo death from extacy is overhydration. People are told to beware of dehtdration, so they go overboard and drink gallons of water, only the drug has prevented their bodies from reacting normally to this. The second reason why people die from drinking too much water also doesn't apply to you. People with eating disorders who try to fake weight-gain by "water loading" are at risk because their bodies may not be healthy enough to say "that's enough" and because they are likely to ignor their bodies signals anyways.
As for you: 2 liters is probably perfectly fine! But, listen to your body, be aware, and base your decision of "the right amount of water to drink" on these signs, not on what online strangers tell you to do!
