Should I start looking and maybe start dating now, or wait until I lose all of my weight. I'm toning as I go, but I fear it's my shyness that's going to get in my way also. I'm usually the life of the party when I was heavy. I mean after a while, you just get used to mean people. But, now things are changing. And, I look so different. Better, and healthier of course. The dating scene is just very scary, and it seems it gets worse the older you get. What do all of you think? Please be gentle, I do have feelings.....

Honey the answer i put in your Q "where do you find nice guys at" applies here in spades!

It sounds like you have been doing pretty good working on being the happy version of yourself already! Once you get used to the new you, you will find that us lads are mere wilderbeast on the Serengetti and you are the hunting lion!

MEOW GIRL GO GET 'EM!
(or until then, just realise that with a bit of effort, shyness can be turned into coyness and thats very sweet ;-)

Get out there and start dating now! You must have a great personality to be the life of the party. Don't let anything keep you from going out and having a great time. You can't wait until you reach your goal weight---get your life started now. Good Luck!

First of all congratulations! I really admire you for losing weight cause I know how hard that can be! Just feel good and confident about yourself and get to know some nice people and slowly get back in the dating scene. I'm so very proud and you should be too!

Dating is scary...there's so many fears that come into play when you are out there dating. But you can't overcome them if you don't put yourself out there. The key ingredient is to be yourself and just enjoy it. You'll have good dates, bad dates, guys that call, guys that don't...but in the end you have to look within yourself for your own self value and beauty. Don't lose yourself and who you are as a person because of any man you are dating...REMEBER THAT! You'll eventually find your right fit...remember that a relationship should complement your life not complicate it!

p.s. I was told and I have experienced that love will come and find you when you least expect it...but you gotta be out there for love to find you because it's not going to come knocking on your door. (In most cases.)

Good luck in your adventures and have fun! :)

If you are ready you will know it.... Just try the group thing..go out with friends... they will help you be relaxed and be yourself...u are still the same person no matter how much you weigh. remember that.. Lose the weight, not yourself. Any guy worth having really will not care about your weight... but since you have lost the weight ..you just have better advertising now..lol
Good Luck... I know how hard it is....

oh honey go for it! Get out! Meet people. Mingle. Why wait until tomorrow when you can find happiness today! Why would you wait? You need to find someone that loves you for how you are on the inside anyway. I know how hard it can be. Good luck to you!

Feelings are meant to get hurt. The best thing you can do is get them hurt by going out there dating. Waiting forever only delays the pain that's inevitable in the beginning.
