He would have sent them a fruit basket, an apology for "whatever we did wrong" and offer them technology and national secrets as a gesture of good will. - standard democrat MO

Since Al Gore wouldn't have dropped the ball on foreign policy or national security, there would have been no 9/11.

Since Al Gore is not a personal friend of the Saud or bin Laden families, there would have been no 9/11, as he would not have protected bin Laden's family or the Saudi's role.

Al Gore would have bombed Mecca with a straight face; the Sauds know this and there would have been no 9/11.

I think he would have done a good job. Not sitting in front of a camera reading "My Pet Goat" while the world was on fire for seven minutes. Al Gore may be dull, but he's not stupid. There's been a lot of unfair mudslinging that just plain isn't true. And do we forget that he actually won the Presidential election and that the False President cheated to win? Do I think Gore would have invaded a country that had nothing to do with the attacks, no, I don't think so. He has no ties to the oil industry. Maybe he would have actually caught Bin Laden instead of letting him run free like the frigging Shrub.

(sigh of disgust for the downfall and corruption of our country.)

Probably similarly to how Bill Clinton did when they set off the bomb in the bottom of the trade center. He would have jailed the people involved promptly and not started a war. The people involved would have stayed in the jail like the ones who were in the bottom of the parking structure are still now. It might never have happened because he might have listened to all of the chattering on the cia level and been prevented. More planes might have been growned earlier and it might have only been one plane or none at all. He certainly would not have sit in a class room with a puzzled face while the nation looked for guidance and planes kept hitting. I think a great deal less would have happened if any because he would have prevented it. There would be no iraq war. We would have more people jailed and more homeland security. Katrina would have been better handled. We would not have a deficit. Our environment would be better. It just would be better. Our country would not be the wreck it is today.

He would do like most of the Democrat Presidents during all the past terrorist attacks since 1979... send a couple bombs or missiles their way and hope they stop. Remember we have been attacked at the Embassy in Iran during Carter, The USS Cole was blown up by terrorists and the WTC was bombed during Clinton's watch but nothing substantial was done. I'm glad we finally had someone with the balls enough to put terrorists on notice. Clinton's answer to Bin Laden's group in Somalia was to retreat. If we had gotten them right then and there we would have not had 911. Oh you didn't know Bin Laden's group was responsible for the counter attack in Somalia? He was there and his 'construction company' was there. He told the people of Somalia that we were there to kill the men and rape the women and gave them weapons. We tucked tail because the President listened to the U.N. I think the President should listen to our military commanders like Bush does.

He would have surrenedered! I swear, he has French heritage! Our country would have NEVER had the same response had he been in office. He was probably behind the whole thing anyway...like I said the other day...look at the counties in Florida where all the recounts took place...does anyone else realize that those are the SAME COUNTIES that the terrorists that took over those planes "up and moved" from?! hmmmmm......you think MAYBE they WANTED Gore in office?!

THANK GOD HE WASN'T!!!!!!!!! Thankfully, I can still be a PROUD American Citizen to this day...George W did a GREAT job handling it!

*side note: Nora22000 - is that why MOST of the faults in the information were from CLINTON's Administration?! hmmm...Gore WAS his VP. maybe you should RETHINK your ideas there...hahaha

The same as most Presidents would have . He might have even been in the White House at that time . But then again it might not have happened , he might have listen to the reports given to him by the CIA and been prepared .
What would you have done ?
There is a protocol that the President has to follow when things like that happens .
Most certainly , we wouldn't be in Iraq today .

Gore would have sent a telegram to bin Laden apologizing for having offended him and his Muslim animals. Then he would have blamed 9/11 on everybody from the Pope to the Tooth Fairy.

He'd want to tell the Terrorists to start recycling their bombs because they're bad for the environment. While I can't support all that Bush has done and said, at least he's reacted the way our country should have initially. If Gore had been in, we'd be in deeper doo-doo.

The best person to ask is Al Gore himself, surely.....but I hope he would have phoned Clinton for advice before anyone.
