A common misconception I come across when speaking with people about religion is that we may agree on many of the basic principles of a religion but fail to have the same definition of what god is. I invite people of all religious denominations to give feedback.
thanks

GOD is not based on concept or idea.

I am a Christian.

I believe in the Christian God. One God who manifests Himself as the Trinity.

Here is a brief synopsis of the Trinity:

There is only ONE God. He manifests himself in three personas/persons/manifestations for the purposes of the redemption of, and relationship with, human beings.

Contrary to what some people say, there is nothing irrational or illogical about this concept (of the Trinity).

For an explanation (and defense) of the doctrine of the Trinity, see http://www.godsci.org/gs/sect/doc/trinity.html

Cordially,
John

God is realised in three phases, Brahman, Paramatma & Bhagavan.

Brahman is the all pervading impersonal effulgence of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, this aspect is nameless, formless and is commonly refered to as "the white light".

Paramatma realisation is the second level of God consciousness, this is the localised expansion of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, similar to rays of sunshine emanating from the Sun, the personal form expands unlimitedly throughout every molecule and atom, both Brahman and Paramatma are all pervading, one is impersonal and the other personal, the personal localised expansion is also situated within the heart of each living entity and is accompanying each individual soul, on their journey throughout the material world.

The third and final stage of God realisation is the Supreme Personality of Godhead, who is all attractive, the source of all other energies and expansions, the source of all spiritual and material worlds, the summum bonum of existence.

God is Existent, Intelligent and Blissful.
He is Formless, Beginningless, Incomparable, the Support and Lord of all, Omniscient, Imperishable, Immortal, Fearless, Eternal, Holy, and the Creator of the Universe.

To Him alone worship is due.

there is only 1 God. He made man in his image. He has always been, he had no beginning which is hard for a human to grasp. He has no end, He will be forever. He made and planned everything there is. He knows everything, sees everything, is everywhere. He loves us and wants us to love and praise Him. He even knows how many hairs are on our head and when a bird falls to the ground. He sent His son Jesus to be a sacrifice for the sins of mankind. If we live for Him we can live forever in Heaven.

I believe god pure white light, and love, god is the joy that fills you, god is the feeling when you get a hug from your mom, god is your first kiss. that's how god can be everywhere, I think people make things too complicated when they try to materialize God. This concept is much more simple and makes more sense to me.

I am Wiccan and I believe God is everything the trees the skies the water and the air we breath. I don't believe that Gods is one all mighty powerful being. God is everything to do with nature, and every aspect of nature.

I have no idea what god is or even if he exists. But I picture god as some guy sitting on a cloud throne in the sky.

well ya see he's this big white guy in the sky who's pretty much a cloud from the shoulders down. and he blows white smoke that turns into wind when he's mad or something. that's about all i know except because of him lots and lots of people have died fighting about him and whose side he is on. many people live their lives in fear because of what they are taught about him. me? i'm just here as an observer.
