Whenever I feel down I share it with my best friend my wife or one of my close net friend to whom I share each and every thing,she give me inspiration to come out from the situation or some time my tears come out even though I am a strong man,but after that I feel relax.
Keep Smiling when you feel down and listen to music.

Do something to take your mind off it, for example do a puzzle listen to music that makes you think of butterflies,help your mom cook. Feeling down is bad for your body,try to smile.

Most of the time I try to let out my feeling by, I know this sounds weird and even a little childish but, I scream in to my pillow, or if I'm at work I try to be really nice to someone, even though I'm the one feeling low!!:))

I eat ice cream, and lots of it. Ice cream takes all the hurt away, it's just me and my cherry Garcia. I also try put things out of my mind, i worry enough in my life and i don't need any more stress thinking about bad things, i just remember how well off i am compared to the rest of the world.

I listen to music, and I read fantasy/sci-fi novels. The fairy tale-ness of the books takes my mind and heart to a different place, distracting me from the pain of the real world until I'm ready to deal with it again.
