Not really. People don't choose to believe or not believe in God based on whether or not they want to follow a religion's rules. If they believe but don't like the rules then they simply call themselves believers but don't follow the rules strictly. If they believe God's real most people can't just stop believing in Him because they don't like his rules.

Non-believers usually don't believe because they find a lack of evidence to believe. They might, at the same time, reject the rules that various religions make, but they don't lack faith because they don't like the rules. Many non-believers share the view that one shouldn't have sex outside of marriage and that, once married, you shouldn't cheat on your spouse.

No. I doubt it is a major issue when someone chooses faith and religion. Wasn't for me, in-fact i never even thought about it till u asked this question.

I have faith in God. It's trust in priests that affects the church nowadays. And who can blame people for being repulsed?
