It depends on the agency and the division they assign you to. When you commit to either agency, they make it very clear that you must be willing to move wherever they need you to go. It's not a 9-5, weekends off kind of job. You work when and where they need you, just they way it is. Hours and days will vary simply because of the nature of the job.

You will be assigned to whatever area needs manpower. You will work as many hours and days as needed in the attempt to accomplish your mission. You can only do your best, expect to be given orders that appear stupid at times, it will happen; you will be working for the government.

You get moved around depending on the taskforce, but good luck getting into either if you haven't been a police officer for quite a few years.
