Unfortunately she's probably not interested. I wish women could just give a straight answer.

What sort of question did you ask? If not a very specific one, like "hey, want to do something sometime" a "maybe" seems almost a normal reply (I recall answering "perhaps" to such a question from someone I was rather interested in knowing better, but he hadn't really asked anything specific, so I didn't answer very specifically either). If your question was a bit vague, then try something more specific and guage the reaction from that; a more specific question ought to get a "yes" or a "no" or some other leading sort of explanation as to why there would be a "maybe."
So, my conclusion: if you ask a vague question, a vague answer seems logical for some people. If you ask a specific question, one would be more likely to expect a yes or no, or some reason for the indecision (like "I might have to babysit that night," or something like that).

Women Will Usually NOT give u a straight answer off the bat. It means you have to be patient and just do things like buy her a rose for the next time you want to ask. Buy her a coffee in the morning before work or walk with her to the store/restauraunt during lunch. Above all patience is the key, and don't stalk her, give her hints that you are genuinely interested in her for her PERSONALITY and NOT just for her body. Don't let her catch you staring at her, I could swear they have a sixth sense about that, like they have eyes in the back of their heads. If she knows you are interested She will probably tease the crap out of you to test you. If all else fails, just Kiss her when she least expects it.

It means no, and that she is afraid of hurting your feelings. Even if she did mean "maybe" if she had to think about it, then you didn't want to take her out anyway. Just beware that a lot of girls like to play mind games and string you along, so be on the lookout for that.

That may mean she has her eye on someone else and she's keeping you on the back burner in case it doesn't work out. Or, she's not too sure she's into you yet. Or it's a 'no', and she's trying to politely turn you down. Tell her you need a yes or no answer; don't allow yourself to be strung along. Life is too short!

it could mean a couple of things...maybe she wants you to work a lil more for her affection..you know, just testing you to see how much you REALLY want to go out with her...or it could mean she doesn't want to hurt your feelings by saying a straight out NO. either way these are both to the extreme of one another....if she keeps glancing at you...then she likes you...if she's ignoring you or pretending you're not there...she doesn't like you.

It means she didnt want to hurt your feelings and say no on the spot, any girl that has to think about it isnt worth your time.
