Both Holloway and Bowden are mistaken.

I used to be an atheist. Over a period of time however, I grew convinced of the existence of the Christian God, and ultimately committed my life to Christ (e.g., see http://www.godsci.org/gs/chri/testimony/seek.html ).

For scientific and intellectual evidence for the existence of God, see http://www.godsci.org/gs/godsci/evidence.htm

Cordially,
John

Well, I didn't see it earlier, but appealing to theologians of such liberal, naturalistic ilk for a statement about the relevance of Christianity as it has been practiced for centuries to today's world is much like appealing to a dairy farmer for a cheescake recipe....they sound like they could be related, but in fact they are not.

For example, your British friend comes from a school of thought that basically denies the very thing it supposes to teach. A recent survey of Christian churches in England (of which only 2% of Britans attend now) show that over half their clergy don't even believe in a literal Jehovah God! So how can you take any views on their beliefs of what Christianity is with even the slightest credulity? The answer is you can't. But their apostasy allows people like you to mock our faith. As it says in the book of James, they will endure the sterner judgement for teaching us their God-denying hogwash.

While I don't have them right here in front of me, I could give you a plethora of scientists who were dye-in-the-wool athiests, that upon an honest examination of the evidence, had no choice but to admit that there was a Creator, and became Christian. But I doubt you would care to pay attention to them because they "flipped" too.

Rather, let's approach this honestly; why don't you round up some atheistic and/or naturalistic quotes that explain the world you see, and I can round up some truly Christian ones that explains the world I see, and lets go from there.

It is very reasonable to expect people to avoid the question when answering said question will lead them down a path to the DEVIL.

The only people who think about what may be new in religion are busy beating it back into its good old submission, and thus, cannot answer your question with any new information.

As religion means little to me, I personally wouldn't keep up on the new ideas they come up with to keep themselves blissfully obedient.

How can I answer for what someone else said?

I didn't make that ignorant statement, I won't attempt too answer it. You need to ask the guys that said it.

What have you proved? That people can't answer someone else's statement?

hahahhahahahaa. wow. Good man.

If there were nothing new, then you couldn't reasonably expect anyone to provide you with that nonexistent new information.
