Ok you guys are nearly right.
Portuguese: Portugal, Brazil, Angola, Mozambique, Guinea-Bissau, Sao Tome e Principe (islands off west africa), Cape Verde (also off West Africa) East Timor and Macau (far east).
Spanish: Every south and central american country except for Guyana, Suriname (Dutch) and French Guiana (French). Also spoken in Equatorial Guinea, Western Sahara the enclaves of ceuta and melilla on the north african coast, and a few caribbean countries (Cuba, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico - if you can call it a country). Its common in many more countries than it is the 'official' language.

every country in south America speaks Spanish except Brazil.
people in Portugal speaks Portuguese too ( obviously ), some countries in Europe, ie. Spain, and central america, mexico, el salvador, guatemala etc.

mexico (spanish), spain (spanish), portugal (portuguese), central and south america speak spanish, I believe Brazil is the only that speaks portuguese

omg! it would have to be Brazil! i had a foreign exchange student from Brazil and the organization that arranged it said my spanish would really help...but little did those people know, she spoke limited spanish, beginners english (hard to understand at times!) and great portuguese

well, portuagese and spanish are quite different...
Brazil and Portugal are the main portugese speaking countries
Spain Mexico and the rest of south america speak spanish
