No, we should definitely NOT be expected to pay Mexico's tab.
De rak: The citizens of California should NOT take the full brunt of the costs of illegal immigration; however, the citizens of California need to buck up against their state and city governments to force them to enact their own laws to fight illegal immigration, since the Federal government is proving to not be willing to do so. We have seen some other states and cities doing so. We have also seen some other cities and states declaring themselves as "sanctuaries" for illegal immigrants. I feel the cities and states who declare themselves as sanctuaries for illegals ought to bear the full brunt of the illegals they attract, including all the extra costs to their education systems, hospital care, welfare, etc., without any assistance from the Federal government, whatsoever. If they want the illegals, they should have them, but they should NOT expect financial assistance from those cities and states who have openly and publicly declared that they do NOT want them, and have enacted laws to eject illegals.
Meanwhile, yes, the Federal government is failing the wishes of the majority of the citizens of the USA by not sealing the borders, deporting ALL illegals and enforcing all laws against employers who hire illegal immigrants. Until the Federal government receives the message of its employers (the citizens of the USA) loud and clear and heeds the message, the states and cities need to take matters into their own hands and do what they are legally able to do to get rid of illegal immigrants in their midst.

funniest damn thing about nationalism...it makes people stupid. catch my drift, kiddo?
*edit*
on second thought, I'm not done with you. This has nothing to do with Mexico, but you brought it up. The United States government went so far as to kill the buffalo off, just so that the Native Americans would not have food. Many tribes preformed a buffalo dance, per their beliefs, to ensure that their people could LIVE. Once the government decided they wanted the Native Americans off the land they had been on for centuries, the government killed the Buffalo (along with doing many other things to get the land from them). Not only did it cause many of them to starve to death, it wrecked their sense of stability and belief system. Imagine...if you prayed for something every year to ensure your life and the lives of your people, and all of a sudden your people were dying anyway. Imagine how that must have been for them. So don't even start with the attitude of "don't start with the stole our land crap"...because it's not "crap," junior...it's real life. Try growing up and realizing that there are other people besides you and your ancestors.

I think the Federal government should give us rebates here in california as our economy is being slammed by the massive amounts of illegals we absorb. Why should are state taxes take the brunt of the illegal problems, when it is a federal issue.

Tell me about it. They come here, work under the table for cheap wages, send the money back to Mexico and never pay a penny in taxes. Meanwhile we pay our taxes so they can have welfare, health care, food stamps and education all on us. Free loaders. (No offense to any legal immigrants who are hard working and pay taxes, we love you guys)
