I read something about it earlier,but when I go to Ford site and type in VIN, it says no recalls for my truck.

Depends upon what kind of truck and the recall.. call Ford Motor Company and ask for a recall check. But they do go more by Vin number than by overall.

05s28 is a cruise deactivator recall that covers f-150s back to 1994 (I think it's the same years for F-250 and higher also) and is the only current 90s Ford Truck recall I can think of.. other than early 90s with the fuel tank check valves

Call or visit your local Ford dealer and talk to someone in parts. Give them the VIN number and they will tell you.
