Why do people think it is acceptable to answer questions with racist comments?

I have read so many racist comments and stereotypes on here. .
And think it is really sad that people can say such things...


This question made me especially sad because the asker only wanted to know the price of an airplane ticket yet idiots thought it was OK to make terrorist jokes.

Would they think it OK if someone said the something about them or their nationaltiy?

ones who resort to this are losers and failures in the their own personal life, and it's easy to pick on minorities to justify their existence..

I think we have to be so cautious with every word we say about others that it is ridiculus. I have customers that are more often than not afraid to call a black person I work with "black," they will say "oh the "african american" or "woman with darker skin"...etc. I mean its all going overboard. Because I can bet that you know some racist jokes, because who hasn't? What race do you think the "yo momma" jokes came from? What about "you might be a redneck if?" jeez...c'mon.

With regards to the y! answers question, I think that area (middle east) in the world has more than enough media exposure and is always on our minds, so it comes up a lot, and the stress of it probably does cause many people to make inappropriate sounding jokes about it. I think we ALL need to get over ourselves. And besides that, how many people do you really know that don't have more than one ethnicity in their bloodlines??

I definitely have pronounced racist comments directed at Latin American, Mexican and American Hispanic human beings. additionally against Iraqis and Pakistanis. they're seldom bumped off, so I stop checking returned -- it grew to grow to be demoralizing to attain how lawless this place is, and that something can bypass up and not sleep invariably.... different than for a innocuous little naive question like "Am I enormously?" or "Who likes cake?". it's because they get away with it. What about that horrendous question where the asker suggested "to put all the Muslims in the camp to stop them being terorist". It was already closed for replies when I saw it, but there were so many positive replies, I was shocked!!!!! I seriously didnt know that there are that many racist people in the world. I think this world is going to hell.

Unfortunately, the Internet attracts twats and fools in the same way magnets attract metal. I've not come across many racist comments. Most intolerant comments I see are mostly toward homosexuals and bisexuals. We should all club together and report it accordingly.

I don't think it's ok to make any unappropriate remark. Most parents teach thier kids that if you can't say something nice then don't say anything at all.Further more , it's not living a good moral life to say racist remarks etc..If you can't be nice then don't say anything at all..and if someone says something mean to you.. then ignore them and finally they'll give up .You have no life if you just bad mouth others and make racist remarks.
