How exactly do you prepare for something like that?? I guess it depends on what you believe in.

Hey, there are a series of events that must occur FIRST. As you most likely have noticed, Isriel is under hevy fire there are wars and rumors of wars, ect....SOON Jesus will retur to take his Church to heaven to be with him, now that does not mean that every one who professes to be a Christian will go, only a very few then will come seven years of tribulation, there will be a man that is called the antichrist that will take control of the world, he will bring peace, a false peace, (O.K. so I am paraphrasing it to get a better understanding go to the Bible I prefer the new kings James, or the new living translation) and after this seven years which won't be pritty if you do not take the mark that will be givin, you will lose your head, with out this mark, you can't do anything! it is also in the Bible, and after this seven years, Jesus will come again to rule for a thousand years, then he will cast satan into hell forever and will rule earth for ever, so in other words, there will be no end to the world! In about 12,000,000,000 years when the Sun has used enough of its hydrogen to work with fusion of heavier elements. It will collapse into a red giant and be much cooler and larger than it is now. Even if it is cooler, the surface will be so much closer that it will burn Earth to a cinder. A large enough asteroid or comet could exterminate most or all forms of life before that, but the world wouldn't end. I don't need to worry about preparing for something billions of years in the future. There have been tales of the imminent end of the world for centuries. All past and present ones are wrong. If you are Christian, the Bible says no one knows when the end will be. Anyone who gives a fairly precise date is sinning.

It is better said, when is the end of this Earth Age coming. This Earth is never going to be destroyed. Never. Jesus Christ is coming back very soon. Your answer is in the Word that He left you. Go there now and drink of the living water and thirst no more.

It has ended numerous times. In 1569, 1666, 1827, etc. Someone is always predicting that the end of the world is just around the corner. I don't want to seem incredulous, but I've heard that the world is ending the day after tomorrow so frequently that I don't even pay attention anymore. Besides, the end of the world is really none of my business.

I may not be understanding the question according to most of the answers you have received, BUT
I'd have to agree with the answer of 4-5 billion years when our Sun supernova's or explodes. BANG!
To prepare, I would practice ducking and covering as South Park demostrated for lava flow evasion.

forget about the end of the world - people have been predicting it like forever and it still has not happened - but what you can be absolutely sure of is that you will die one day - so prepare for that absolute certainty and don't put your faith in some preacher or his religion cause they're all gonna die one day too - the answer to you lies within you and no where else

The end of the world is when we have the next "big bang". There's absolutely nothing we can do to be prepared....we'll be like the dinosaur.

4-5 billion years, I'd guess, when the sun becomes a Red Giant. And you can't prepare, it just happens.

Goodness, I have not heard that since I was in 4th grade...I am 67 now........They said then, at a few minutes, The world was coming to an end! My girlfiend, Romana, and I held each other,
wishing we could be with our Mom and Dad,,,,it was real, as our teacher was out with us..This was IT,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,I will never forget it..Why worry about it....If and when??? forget about it....if it ever
comes....??? We will all go together....Honey, do not worry, it has been talked about for years....years...Not to worry

Only God knows for sure, but most ancient egyptian and azteca calanders end in the year 2012, nothing recorded for a calander after that.
