Just curious. And too lazy to look it up for myself. It's fun to have different opinions anyway.

PS-If you're not either and have no knowledge on the subject and just want to post something to post something or be offensive, you will be reported.

All Wiccans are Pagans, but not all Pagans are Wiccan...There are different Pagan beliefs, but Wicca falls under the category of Paganism.

A Wiccan is a particular kind of Pagan who follows the religion founded by Gerald Gardner and the Wiccan Rede. http://www.controverscial.com/The%20Wiccan%20Rede.htm has the full Rede, but many who consider themselves Wiccan follow a simplified version: "An it harm none, do as you will".

A Pagan may or may not follow the Rede. The simplest definition is anyone who follows a religion which isn't Jewish, Christian, or (depending on who you're talking to) Islamic, but for the most part refers to members of a number of unconnected faiths which are frequently polytheistic and nature-based.

So, all Wiccans are Pagans, but not all Pagans are Wiccans.

I am Wiccan, and the difference is that Wicca is a Pagan religion, but it concentrates mainly on Earth based practices while Pagan is a broader term; they are basically anyone who worships anything else but God. Whether it be Idols or many Gods and Goddesses.

And once again, unsurprisingly, Panacea is completely wrong.

Wicca is a subcategory of Paganism. Other subcategories include things like Asatru, Druidism, Shamanism, Voudoun, etc.

In general, all Wiccans are Pagans, but not all Pagans are Wiccans.

Just like all Lutherans are Christians, but not all Christians are Lutherans.

(But like all things, there are those who will argue this point. You know what they say - ask 10 pagans the same question and you'll get 12 different answers...)
