Here are the activites on board most of Carnival Ships...

There will be a carnival caper in your room nightly to let you know the next days events. These are very helpful....If you have not already done this...You will see a 70.00 per person gratuities on your in room account automatically. If there are 2 people in your room, 140.00 will be added. These are the tips for your entire stay. At the end of your stay you can also tip your Matre D, and room steward....
You will have two nights of formal nights. One is more formal than the other, that is the Captains Party.
"Depending on the length of the cruise, either formal dress or casual resort wear is required in the Dining Room. The dress requirement for children is the same. For those not wanting to dress up, the Lido restaurants are open nightly (with the exception of the last evening of the cruise), and have a casual dress code. Formal Wear: tuxedo (optional); suit and tie; sport coat, tie and slacks; evening gown; cocktail dress; pantsuit Casual Resort Wear: sport shirts and slacks; dresses; skirts; pantsuit NOTE: Shorts, t-shirts and bathing attire are not permitted in the Dining Room during dinner."
This is quoted from Carnival...

And what to pack? Well here are some ideas....
http://www.carnival.com/CMS/FAQs/Dress_Attire.aspx

If you are a smoker and are flying...no lighters allowed...
If you are traveling this year???then you will need photo id and birth certificate....If you are taking children and either of you are stepparents? need a letter notarized from the absent parent allowing the child to take this trip and leave the country...NEXT YEAR....PASSPORTS ARE REQUIRED!!!!!!!!
Arrive at the airport 2 hours early and go with the flow of things...pack your cameras in your carry on luggage...NOT checked luggage...

HAVE FUN

Have not been on Carnival Cruises, though I consistently hear that Royal Caribbean is better, try it sometime, I have, and it is Awesome!

I think you will still enjoy Carnival though!!!

Flying SUCKS...unless u r in first class, then it sucks less.
