Yes, religion does need to be part of our (society's) lives. I am not a religious man myself (I dropped out of the catholic church), but it is incredibly important. Mankind is the only species aware of it's own death. To deal with this, we created religion as a comfort. And if you want to talk about good things that happen because of religion then do not turn on the T.V. The news reports one, maybe two, happy stories a night. Religion has structured a sense of morality and social norms.

Philosopher,
"Does religion need to be part of our lives?"
No.
"Can we point out good things that happened because of religion?"
Sure. Some religions feed the poor. Heal the sick. Without asking anything in return.
"Does any one believe that God/the Creator sent his ‘son’ Jesus to earth or truly ‘talked’ to Mohamed."
I believe that He sent His Son, Mohammed was devil inspired.
"Does any one understand why God needs to hide and keep on sending messengers and sons?"
He uses His creations as He sees fit. "Hiding" is an assumption. He made messengers. They messenge. lol
His Son was a first. He will have a lot of sons by adoption (Romans 8 and 9 ).
Why would He need them?
He doesn't. God needs nothing. He wants certain things to occur at certain times, and He decides who He sends to do them. God "needing" something is a assumption.

Personally, i believe in religion. I'm not week and if you ask any one i know they would say i am very confidant! I think religion is true, not some stupid made up thing. All churches have some right, and you know i respect everyone choice to not believe. But when you look around at the world today and see how beautiful life is or wonder why we have life you must think because God created us. Having a religion takes more guts than not. It takes guts to say what you believe to the world, or even just to 2 people. Saying i don't believe in God is much easier than believing. So the real week people are the ones that don't believe. But like i said i respect everyones choices. :)

God isn't hiding. Yes you do need God. I believe God sent son to die on the cross and rise from the dead. It was the ultimate sacrifice because only the blood can save us from death. Mohamed isn't like Christ, he is only human and a false prophet. If he dies, he dies. God sent his son as a way to show us how to live our lives: an example. God isn't hiding. There is a verse that says that if you see him you will die because you have been cursed by sin and God cannot allow sin to be near Him. As for all the answers you are asking. God says man isnt meant to know all the answers instead you are to have faith in Him. You will be rewarded for that.

Let's look at it this way...in the beginning, God had a relationship with His creation. That was also the way it was w/ the Patriarchs... a relationship with God, go straight to Him, etc.
The Law was put into place to train the Israelites to become people of God. When Jesus came, of His many reasons, one was to bring the religion back to a relationship, as it was with the patriarchs (we know this from Jesus' relationship w/ His disciples, His prayers for them in John, and the tearing of the curtain while He was on the cross).
(Notice, a religion is about doing something in order to attempt to get right with God. As Christians, we know that's impossible, for only by accepting and following Christ can we be seen as righteous in God's sight...therefore, Christianity is not a religion...it's a relationship with God through His Son, Jesus Christ.)
Now, Jesus is God's ONLY Son...it even says so in the scriptures (John 3:16, for example).
Now, God's one and only Son (God in the flesh) came, was killed, and was resurrected, thus knocking out the grasp of death, atoning for us, etc..(God didn't hide, He came down here, gave up His majesty to live among us, and we killed Him.)
So after doing all this, why would God talk to a fellow (Mohammad) and tell him to turn it back to a religion? Wouldn't that be denying Christ's mission here?
(OK, Islam claimed that Jesus didn't die on the cross, or that His mission failed b/c He was killed...but Jesus continuously told people that He would be persecuted, killed, and resurrected. "religions" that don't acknowledge this are calling Jesus a liar. And Jesus said that whatever somebody thinks of Him, they also think of God, for God is who sent Him...so they're calling God a liar).
Jesus was the 2nd Adam, for He not only changed the way we see God, but also changed creation...for we are new creations in Christ.
Anybody who comes claiming the name of God, and doesn't acknowledge Jesus as the Messiah, is not speaking of God.

Because men seek to find answers to their many reasons and some people believe in God. Imagine going through life without believing in something that has so much evidence for its existence. People believe in the ideas of men---virgins in heaven for killing people, getting a planet to rule for your service to the belief, you can marry many women so that you can father children for the belief----you can act like there is no God, only certain people are selected to go to heaven the rest will not and all these beliefs can not discredit the Bible yet the Bible tells us this...for there are many paths (beliefs or decisions) that seem right to men yet these paths lead them only to death----what death does the Bible mean---separation from God which leads the individual to the lake of fire a place that was created for the devil and for those that follow him because of their free will to believe or not to believe.Jesus is the only way to the Father and the truth for entering heaven; are there any other individuals that tell mankind that can enter heaven and live for all eternity? no some say that we come back in another life, yea right.
I am not try to disprove your ideas but try if you like to research whom was the person that started the notion that God is not real and that He created hell even when He is a loving and forgiving God. I'll give you an idea---- he is the father of lies.

There arent very many Atheist ministries out there visiting people in prison, teaching 3rd world countries how to grow food and build suitable housing, and visiting the sick in the hospitals. Im not positive but I dont think there are Muslim ministries that do this either. I believe God sent His Son Jesus but not that He talked to Muhammad. And He isn't hiding in my life.

Very good question. Lets not blame God for everything man is responsible for. God is perfect and always does good to man.
Religion was made by man to achieve his own selfish goals. In todays world we see all the chaos and voilence is in the name of Religion. God never made any religion. All that ends with 'ism' is a religion. Whereas, Christian is someone who follows Christ and not a religion.

Anything good that comes out of religion can be brought about by humanity in a secular manner... a lot of the bad things that come from religion exist purely because of the religions belief system...
We would definitely be much better off with out it.

Religion is for the weak. These people need to be taught and led around by their nose ( teacher).
God does not like religion. Religion separates us from God. God gave us His Word (Jesus Christ) to inform us of the way to live our lives and be pleasing to Him. First we die and then the judgment.><>
