I have used so many different shampoos and conditioners! My hair smells like trash when it's wet right after I wash it. Its not the smell of my towel. I don't know what it is. This is just started happening recently for the past couple of months. It smells great when it's dry though. Maybe because my hair is so long and it's hard to wash it everywhere. But, I wash it thoroughly! Any ideas why this is happening all the sudden? Thanks!

I was going to say maybe it's your water and suggest buying gallon jugs of water just for washing your hair. But if this has just started recently, you may want to discuss it with your Dr. just to be sure it isn't a sign of something else, and they can probably give you some suggestions. If nothing is wrong, and they don't give you any suggestions, then ask a Beauty Salon, they have to know everything about hair and scalps. hope this helps you.

Well, if you are around the puberty age, it may just be your hormones changing causing the weird smell... I say ask a doctor if nothing else helps. Also try changing the laundry detergent you use, and don't use too much fabric softener on the towels. And if your hair is that long that it's hard to wash it everywhere, I would recommend seriously getting a couple inches cut off. Your hair will feel healthier, too! Good luck...

Geez. I don't know. Is it like how wet dog fur smells? I'm not trying to be mean or anything but really. Or like a down comforter when it's wet? I agree though with the other poster though that probably you are focusing on it too much. If it doesn't smell when it's dry, then don't worry about it.

Maybe you are concentrating on it too much. Try not to smell it when you are washing or drying it.

There could be a medical reason for it, Maybe it's your scalp.. I think you should ask your doctor next time you go.
