Your dog had or has tapeworms. What you see in her stool is the small pieces that make up the tapeworm. If the rice-like worms you are seeing are not moving then she is indeed passing dead worms killed by the medicine given by the doctor. However, I was not aware that Strongid is effective in killing tapeworms; this is usually given for round worms. Are you sure the vet didn't give Drontal or Droncit? It is possible that Strongid will work for tapes if given a double dose and a second double dose to follow in two weeks to prevent re-infestation. This would be cheaper as Strongid costs about 35 cents per cc, and Droncit can cost about $6 per pill (requires one dose).
Double check with the vet to make sure that if she did give Strongid (it's a yellow liquid and smells like a banana shake) does she recommend a second dose in two weeks.
Good luck!

Strongid is not the treatment for tapeworms, which is the worm segment (rice size) you described.
Your vet must have forgot you mentioned the rice looking worms, I can't imagine one giving you strongid for tapeworms.
Treatment for worms is an on-going treatment NOT a once and done thing.
Tell your vet again, you can get the tapeworm tablet and that will take care of the tapeworm problem.
You will need different wormers for different worms.
Personally I use Panicur for three days, the dogs don't like the taste as well, but it works well with my puppies.

'Rice' worms are probably tapeworm segments which Strongid won't treat. It's not a wasted effort, though, because Strongid *will* treat roundworms which most puppies have. To treat tapeworms you want something with fenbendazole, praziquantel, or esiprantel. In the US, SafeGuard (fenbendazole) and Tape Worm Tabs (praziquantel) are available OTC; if you can't find one of these you'll need to see your vet.

Both the tapeworm treatment and Strongid should be repeated about 3 weeks after the first treatment.

You may want to put your puppy on something for fleas b/c the worms that you're seeing are from them digesting a flea. I don't think that the strongid-t is for tape worms though. we used to use Droncit for tape worms. hope this helps...

either call the vet and ask again, or the vet should have told u what was going to happen before he/she gave your puppy the shots, or even after!
