There is none. Don't even think about it. Get the puppy to the vet like, NOW! Seriously, this is not something to play around with...Believe me, if you were in this situation, you wouldn't want a home remedy...bring it to the vet and hopefully it will make it through...this a highly contagious, deadly illness.

no. No. NO! Parvo Virus in puppies is highly contagious and almost always deadly unless treated in a hospital setting. Treatment for the Parvo Virus is very expensive. The environment where the infected puppies lived is contaminated and needs to be cleaned with a properly mixed bleach solution and should not house puppies or un-vaccinated adults under 4 years of age, for a minimum of 6 months.
Gatorade would be helpful I suppose in replacing the fluids and electrolytes lost through the vomiting and diarreah, but it is not a cure. If the puppy is seriously ill from Parvo then it is unlikely you will get him to drink Gatorade or anything else for that matter.

Ok, I think the gatorade thing is a home remedy for hypoglycemia in puppies, although not a smart one. Hypoglycemia or low blood sugar can usually be remedied by any high-sugar food you can get the dog to ingest.

Parvo is a serious, deadly disease that many dogs die of, and they cannot survive at all without aggressive veterinary treatment. If your dog has parvo, you have only a few days to get it to the vet for treatment, otherwise it will become paralyzed and probably die.

*** I think some people are confusing parvo with distemper, distemper is incurable and has to run its own course, monitored by a vet to keep the dog hydrated and comfortable. Parvo REQUIRES medication for the dog to survive!!!

I have hread that beer is good, but with parvo you can never tell. Even with the vets help the puppy may not make it. Parvo is just bad!! I'm sorry your going through this, but the best thing for you to do is take it to the vet, get the parvo check on the pup and go from there.

Okay, don't know who told you that Gatorade is good for puppies, but when your puppy has parvo, run, do not walk to the emergency vet like NOW!!! No joke. We went through this with one of our dogs, Misty and she was only 8 weeks old. As soon as she wouldn't drink water, kept throwing up and all, went straight to the emergency vet. She then began with diarrhea, and got down to less than 5 lbs., wasn't going to make it. A lot of puppies don't with parvo so you need to get help immediately, no home remedies, good luck and will keep your puppy in my thoughts and prayers! Thanks be to God, and to the help of the veterinary staff, our then, 10 years ago, lived!!! We were one of the lucky ones but that's because the vet. told us we got her there really early so GO!!!!!!!!!!

There is no home remedy for Parvo.
It's a deadly virus that is going to kill your puppies if not treated properly and immediately.
Get the puppies to the vet immediately.
If you can't afford the treatment, at least let the vet euthanize them by needle so they don't suffer.
If you have Parvo on your property or in your home, it is not safe to introduce new dogs for at least 6 months.

I just want to throw out the fact that not only is Parvo deadly, and a god awful way to die, but the yard where the dog was housed is now contaminated, and your next puppy will get parvo also. The only hope you have is a vet, and if money is the reason, I know when my dog and all 7 of her pups got it, they spent 8 days at vet's, and 5 of pups still died, but vet let me pay him out over a year. He also gave me something to spray in yard every month for a year.

Nothing will 'get rid of' parvo; it can only be endured until it clears on its own. Gatorade or similar drinks may help maintain hydration and blood sugar level, but *ONLY* if the puppy can hold it down long enough to absorb - which is unlikely with real parvo. Without antibiotics the puppy is likely to die anyway.

Get the dog to the vet. Parvo can be prevented by getting the dog a simple vaccine. But now that it has parvo, the vet may or may not be able to "cure" it. Gatorade...??? Why would you even ask that???

Take it to the vet.

you cant get rid of parvo in puppies because it has to run its course and it is almost always lethal......i have had 3 rottweiler puppies that have had it and 1 shih-tzu the 2 female rottweilers died and the male rottweiler and female shih tzu lived....the only thing different about the 2 that lived was that they never stopped drinking water....they didnt eat for well over a week (like 10 days)...i went to the vet and picked up some anti-vomiting meds that were really cheap and gave it to them every 6 or 8 hours....just make sure they drink water if they wont drink on there own than dropper feed them but you have to stop the vomiting or they will die...dont worry about them not eating because if you force feed them it will make them puke more and they will get even more dehydrated....good luck its a nightmare i have been there and done that.....
