We (seniors) should be given a behind the wheel test about every other year after age 65, in my opinion. That would weed out the ones that have lost the ability to drive safely.

Some states make people over a certain age take a driving test each year or every other year. I believe that all states should have this law in effect. Some people have the ability to drive a vehicle at a very old age while others are unable to drive safely in their 50's! Of course, there are some people who never learn how to drive correctly and safely! I hope this helps.

As long as they can drive safely and drive the speed limit, no problem. Some people get too old to drive at 60, others are okay until they die at 100+. You can't put a limit on how old a person can be because everyone ages differently.

Sometimes I think the seniors are safer drivers than everyone else here in Florida.... people try things in cars down here that I wouldn't try while walking!!!

Seriously..... I think annual testing after age 72 is reasonable. But we have to remember that the DMV is already over extended and understaffed/underfunded, where will the money to re-test all these people come from?
