You are gonna have to pick them out one by one! Keep checking daily and it should eventually be cleared up! Sorry, but there is no easy way!

The shampoos and rinses you buy may kill all/most of the lice and the comb does not work that well! Just hampoo, wash all clothes and bedding, vacuum mattress and furniture, you can even run pillows and stuffed toys through the dryer for 15 min or so. Then you have to pick, pick, pick! This is the only way to take care of it completely!

Listen!!!
There is absolutely no easy way to get rid of lice, and if someone tells you there is, then they are full of it,I have three children and every last one of them have had lice (more then once). It's not because you are a bad mother or that your child is dirty that isn't true ( no matter the remarks you may hear ) I have concluded the only way to get rid of lice is to (this is the hard part) WORK WORK WORK !!! I have tryed all the solutions and most of them aren't safe.It has resorted to me doing daily head checks everyday since my kids were young..there is no solution that you put in your childs head that will kill all the lice and nits, you can try of course to use one to get rid of most of the live bugs, then you have to comb comb comb comb comb, and use your fingernails to pull out the nits. NO comb will do that for you....it is exausting and down right hard ,,, For a 2 yr old I wouldn't recommend a treatment with chemicals because they can do more harm then good...Hot water works wonders for soaking combs and brushes, another thing is vinegar water leaving on a few minutes, but does not always work...these are suggestions only....They have helped very little in my case but the main thing is picking the little buggers out at all cost they will come back if not treated properly or get so bad that some people havehad to shave the head of a child to get rid of them dependiing on length of hair.. good luck in your case ...trust me you will need it...

Hi. You can try using vaseline petroleum jelly on the lice eggs while using a lice comb. I get this info from a website called 'The People's Pharmacy', has all sorts of home remedies in it. OH, years ago my great-neice had the lice and could not get rid of them with the rid shampoo, pharmacist said to go to doctor and get prescription shampoo as it would work. You also might need to use the spray on bed clothes and other personal items the child uses. Hope this helps.

Poor You and your Baby.....You can buy shampoo or creme rinse designed for this problem. This is not a fun process. There are some recipes for natural shampoos that you make at home using tea tree oil and lavender and stuff. These do not kill head lice but repel them from your hair. I am not sure on age recommendations on these but any Herbal store will have the recipe and recommendations. Anything from here would have to be less dangerous than the shampoo that you buy full of chemicals that seep through your skin. Good Luck my friend...

You need to get a lice medicine that kills the lice and a lice comb, which is a very fine comb that will pull the eggs out. RID and NIX are expensive, the Walmart brand is cheap and works just fine. Listerine also works as a lice killer, but you still need the comb.

i would not put any chemicals in that baby's hair! i got some rid in my eye once, hurt like heck and couldn't see out of it for 3 days. can't imagine a 2 year old being still enough for that long to do it. my best bet would be the conditioner to kill the varmints, then pick out the eggs by hand. a lot of work, but safest for a child

When my daughter got them in kindergarten, I first used the rid (with a shower cap, that is important, but they don't tell you to do that on the lable), then I had to go through her hair and when I found a nit, I cut that strand of hair with a small sissors, Be sure to go through all her hair and then do the second treatment. for any eggs you missed. I'm sorry, but those combs just don't work, you have to get the eggs out yourself.

My daughter had lice and I used Mayo covering her whole hair and scalp and then put on a shower cap and left it for 6 hours....it worked, her hair looked great and I saved money.

My friend's daughter had it, and she had very, very long thick hair. They were told to buy a huge bottle of cheap hair conditioner. They used the whole bottle on her hair, then wrapped her hair in plastic wrap (similar to like what they use when you get a perm) and leave it on for an hour or more. Apparently it suffocates the little critters. They said it worked great. If not, talk to your pharmacist for an over the counter remedy.
