Looking back on myself as a kid I find certain things I would say or do very humorous now that I am older. I mean there are just some things in life that I always thought I might do adventually and that it really wasn't if I was going to do them but when. I always thought part of being old was dying my hair. I was NEVER going to be old so that wasn't something I would of even thought about. Well as I got older I did start thinking about things alittle more but I was NEVER going to be old. Old people were the ones that dyed their hair to hide that they were old. There are sooo many "STEREOTYPES" when it comes to being old. I then started thinking seriously about why would I dye my hair when being grey is who I am. Well little did I know old came after grey. SMILE I started getting my first white hair when I was pregnant with my daughter when I was 27 and as the years went by I got greyer. By the time I was 31 I couldn't tell when it started and when it ended. I started to rethink this OLD thing and started to think "It isn't how old you are but how you feel?" and boy I was feeling OLD with grey hair. Now I dye my hair everytime I see that grey seaping through. SMILE Sooo the next time you want to ask why do we keep dying our hair... Remember me at 27 with grey hair. ha ha

I love change. I think your hairstyle is a creative side that comes out even if you have no artistic side. It is an expression of yourself. I hate when my roots grow in and it doesn't match up. I find that dying your hair is something fun to do when you are bored. Plus, hair dye conditioners make your hair soft event though some smell horrible.

Unfortunately, I have been prematurely gray since I was 19. I decided that I didn't want to be gray-haired at such a tender age.

I love the rainbow colors. I didn't start coloring my hair til I was 25, but now I can't keep it blond. It's just way too plain.

I dye it because I like how red hair looks on me & my natural color is too dark on me. It's also fun experimenting with color. I only use permanent dye on my highlights though to help prevent damage.
