Sometimes, not always.
Some companies will give you a discount on your Business Personal Property coverage if you have a central station alarm installed. Sometimes having the alarm will make you eligible to have Theft coverage for your BPP. Some companies it won't make a difference.
Any premium savings may not really off-set the cost of the system and monthly monitoring fees, but you'll have that little extra peace of mind that can be priceless.

Premiums are based on risk of loss. In general, anything that reduces that risk reduces the premium. Individual companies will have different policies. Some may require an alarm before insuring the business. The type of business is also an issue. Do you have anything worth stealing on hand?

What is more true is that the insurance company will often not insure you without such systems. If so, they often only agree to insure you for 'all-risk' which covers all types of damage both in and out of the home or business. Most people dont know this and just assume that they are paying more.... Always fidn out your exact coverage...

Yes it would. The prescence of an alarm system is a deterrent in and of itself.
