If you're stuck on front of computer it helps to write out outlines and plan things ahead to give yourself something work on instead of staring at monitor.

Some do write everything by hand. Bill Clinton wrote his book with pen and paper.

It may be better for you to write since you get distracted by things on computer like Yahoo Answer.

I use a cool "dictation" program on my PC, where I speak out my thoughts and they're printed on the screen. I've recently discovered this works very well with my digital voice recorder when connected to the PC as well.

Saves wear on the keyboard and ink in my pens ( I now loathe freehand writing ).

Writers usually type their stories- and it's way more convenient than writing it.

Type, so you can spell check and your hands won't get so sore. Plus you can save it to disk and have a back up copy just in case. And you can go back and manipulate and edit it any time you want.

It doesn't really matter. Do what is comfortable for you, because if it is not comfortable to you, you will not write well :). Good luck.
