my beautiful fiance and i have been wanting to 'tie the knot' for some time now, but finances always seem to put it on hold. (second marriage for both of us) we have 4 children at home 2 mine, one his, and one 'ours',
orginally i wanted a 'vintage' wedding but now i think it's more important to both of us to get married, but i want it to be so special for us and our close family and friends. i don't really want to go for the 'registry' office marriage, so anyone with some great inspiring ideas that don't cost the earth would be greatly appreciated.thanks

i would recommend having it outdoors on a beach,or at a friends house...someone with a beautiful and large yard. Its very inexpensive and nice... as far as a reception have it very casual... again in a backyard, at a park, at a beach, etc... have family(your mom,his mom, sisters/ inlaws etc) making some food your 2 as well can bring some... have cold foods, salads of multilple kinds, and so on as food... it will be very cheap, very relaxing and fun... keep in mind this is your second marriage as well as his, there is no need to go all high upper class..am I right?Hope my opinion can help.

If you have a friend with a nicely landscaped lawn, a fall wedding would be lovely. Include the children in the wedding, flower girls & ring bearers. Ask minister to have a special ceremony making you & your family for time & all eternity at end of service. Make it special for your family & the guest will find it special too!

If not outside someone with house large enough to fit guest. Finger foods at reception, can be set out by friends & family after being bought at Sam's or someplace like it. I have helped many friends who were unable to have carterer.

Either an outdoor wedding or just something small and private would do the trick. Do you have a scenic outdoor park with a gazebo? Ususally you can rent these by the hour. And for the reception, if you look around, you can get good deals. (I got a great deal at mine by using a reference from a friend. It saved me about $2000 on the hall. Same thing for the DJ and photographer.) Going with people you know and their suggestions, you can usually save a few dollars.
Best wishes :))

Do you want to include the children in the ceremony? As attendants or do you want them to repeat vows also?
What about a sand ceremony?
There's also a ceremony with a family medallion.
What about rings for the children?
Are you looking for a location ideas or just the ceremony?
How large of a wedding do you want? How much money are you wanting to invest in it?

Find a priest/officer that you both like and then suit up for a hike. Go to a local scenic area with just you and a few close family members and get married... pitch in reception and cheap wedding.

an end of summer, or autumn wedding in and around a rustic barn. Have wildflowers in jars or pitchers. Seating on hay bales. Picnic foods. Colorful tablecloths, disposable plates, cups, etc. Nice to have string music, a "fiddle". Lemonade.Small glass bottle colas.
