Alright here is another question for you. Honest answers please. Here is the scenerio. This guy and girl have known each other for 5 years. She always pushed the just want to be friends scene while he pursued her. They had/have chemistry. They started dating and eventually got engaged but both got cold feet. He says now they are better off as friends. However, he has mentioned running off and getting married, he has gotten upset over guys she is dating, he has told her that he doesn't feel that he could take care of her, etc. So what is he REALLY thinking. Is saying they should just be friends a cop out for how he really feels about her? Oh and by the way they talk online, phone, in person all the time. They get together and the chemistry is great.

He isn't ready to commit. Talk is cheap at this point, really. He doesn't want you right now; however, he doesn't want anyone else to have you. That is selfish and harmful to your future relationship, if any. Stay with what you have. Friends are great! It is simple, and there is a lot of life to live out there before you settle down.

well i dont think that they are better off friends because they obviously dont approve of other dates and such. i think that they are just afraid of marriage, which is fine but if you ask me they either have to be together or not friends at all. it never works the friendship way. good luck to your friend!

He is saying that he doesn't want to be with her but he doesn't want her to be with anyone else. He wants her to sit around and wait for him in case he changes his mind.
