http://searchg.symantec.com/search?q=uninstall&context=gbh&src=gbh&output=xml_no_dtd&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&client=symc_en_US&proxystylesheet=symc_en_US&site=symc_en_US
Try this link. I went to Symantec and searched for "uninstall." This is the link to that page. Good luck.
Side note: do you have a system restore date set? If you do, you can go back to the last setting prior to installing Norton. It is always a good idea to set a "restore date" just before installing any new program - just in case. Then if it messes up, you can quickly restore to workability. On my Dell I have a "Help and Support" icon. If I click on it, system restore appears on the first window. Look for something similar on your computer.

Use the Norton Tool, NoNAV - reference the information in the source below. You might have to call Symantec to get the most up-to-date version of the tool.

Right click Norton icon in tool bar and bars will pop up. The second one down says disable Norton security.

do this...
startup your computer
soon as you see the screen before windows
push f8, hold it down
select safe mode
and then try to use the uninstaller.
EDIT:
oh and norton isn't all that great... it will slow your computer down too much...
try something like Zone Alarm Security Suite...
it is MUCH better, and it doesn't slow you down alot.
