buy a half gallon of milk because of older people and their damn lottery tickets? The guy must have spent fifty bucks saw me standing there and just kept spouting off numbers.

Agreed... they need to take their tickets and move off, or have the little fill-in cards all filled out already before they approach the counter. Some places around here actually have signs posted that "all lottery cards *must* be filled out prior to service."

Here, we just use those little cards. Fill in the boxes, and the cashier feeds them into the machine.

Besides, just go to a different cashier. If you are in a gas station, then step up to the other window, and stare at the cashier until he takes you money. Of just put in the $1.25 and walk off. Or buy your milk at the grocery store, where there will be a few aisles open.

You should've put the milk on the counter and said I'll be back and leave and buy it somewhere else.I would keep on about how lottery is a waste of time. Some of those who gamble really have a problem.Or throw the money on the counter and walk out with the milk.I'd probably say look what's that over there and try to skip when they look.

I hear you, and yes it is irritating. However, what if you were that man buying lottery tickets, and someone was standing behind you with a half gallon of milk, what would you have done ? Would you have stopped your transaction for him? Probably not !
Tomorrow will be a better day : ), cranky !

I'm still ticked off about the two weenies that were side-by-side on the freeway, doing 55 in a 65...

I usually avoid the cash register breadline experience by going to the convenience store after their bedtime, or going to the grocery store for that. As for gas, I can use my credit card and pay at the pump. But, those slow drivers! AARGH!

Buy your milk in agrocery store, instead of at the 7-11 or Quick-Stop.

Yes.

but I am one of those folks who drives slow. I do however warn you, "PASS ME, I'M RETIRED" I don't have to be at work 30 min after dropping my kids of at school & it's a 45 min drive (they were always the 1st ones at school). I drive to make the next signal & I get thru it at the same time as everyone else..... I just expend less fuel to get to it & I stay out of your way when I can.
That driving stress let me retire @ 45 y/o & travel full time.
