That's just a side effect. There's nothing to worry about. If your sex life is that important, you can talk to your doctor about other alternatives instead of Prozac. I'm not sure why, but I know a lot of meds like that lower sex drive. It's not a bad thing unless it really bothers you because you're not big pimpin' or whatever anymore.

Prozac was the 1st Anti Depressant i was on years back and could not get an erection for the life of me. I am now on Effexor and its wonderful. I have never been more happier than any other time in my life. Only sexual side effect i have with Effexor is delayed ejaculation, but i can handle that! Good luck to you.

Prozac is only for people who have high violent tempers then it's a questionable treatment. My oldest daughter took it and eventually she went catatonic. It shout's you down mentally. You just don't care after you take it from my prospective and watch my daughters side effect reactions. Later on I found out she had paranoid Schizophrenia after a trip down to Austin. She didn't need the Prozac. They had to put her on Prolix on to get her out of the catonic stage.

No interest in sex is often a side effect of antidepressants. There are lots of meds out there that effect a once health sex life.

Your lack of sexual desire may be a side effect. It was for me. I found other ways to treat my depression (try God) and weened myself of medication. Take it from someone who's been as low as you can go!!! It'll get better. If you need a friend to help- e-mail me at notchydaddy1@yahoo.com
Maybe I can help

Prozac shouldn't totally numb your sexual desire after you have been on it for a while. Unless your prescription is just too strong for you. It shouldn't also totally numb your erection either if you're a male.
