U.S. military academy Cadets, and I think that's pretty much it!

Maybe there's some super top secret Special Operations Unit that screen their canidates that don't have any dependants.

A dependent is like a wife and or kids, anyone who is married or has kids has dependents there is no rule in the Army saying you can't have any it's really your own choice.

I have never understood this question either. Are they trying to say that if we go we are doomed to death? AHHHHHHHHHHH run for your lives.
Ok now, seriously I think the question is stupid. Other branches of the military do not care so if you really want to enlist look elsewhere. Best wishes!
