Just be careful. You're young and there's a lot you need to find out about yourself that you can't possibly learn when you're in a serious relationship. You (both of you) need to know what it's like to be with different people. To find out who YOU are. I spent 10 years with my first serious boyfriend. I was 16 he was 19 when we first got together. We thought we were in love too. But we weren't REALLY in love. I believe we stayed together because we had history more than because we were in love. Just be careful that's all. Keep your eyes (and options) open.

If you have been together for FIVE YEARS and are now asking if it's okay, something's wrong. Sounds fishy to me.

Also the age difference is a lot, considering you are probably in high school and he is in college (or working).

I wouldn't be dating someone too much older than me (I'm 18) but since it's been 5 years, who knows.

If you are having sex, yes, it's too old for you, because it's probably the only reason (from his point of view) that you are together.

eventually there is some sort of love between u two if u stared dating sine u were 11 but as both of u get older some things will change. i say this because i started dating my boyfriend when i was 15 and he 20. now we have been together for 5 years. things strarted changing as went into our fourth year but we managed to work it out. i think that as long as both are responsible and mature there is a chance that u may end together. if u are having intimate relationship make sure both use protection. good luck
