But it's U.S. taxpayers who are footing the multi-million-dollar bill

Prenatal care is important for these future US citizens. The babies Will be citizens just from the fact that they are born here. Do you want future Americans to be physically or mentally disabled? I don't think the solution to illegal immigration is in denying these people our help.
Our compassion is one of the building blocks of the American spirit.

over 70% of the births in Dallas county are to illegals. Average cost for a simple birth is over $6000, and there have been many many many where costs go into the millions. Not a cent is paid because the poor illegals only want to work - not to pay. Come on - free health care is a right to all, especially those who are here illegally and choose to keep knocking out the anchor babies.

Fort Worth county hospitals have finally decided to make people prove they are here legally for all except emergency life saving care - thank god. They were going more than broke.

This doesn't suprise me at all. No, there are over the counter
pre-natal vitamins and they can pay for their own doctor visits.
They are the ones that got themselves into this mess they can
get themselves out. I am a legal paying tax citizen and have
health insurance and I have to pay a huge deductible and copays
and another 30% on top of that after which the deductible is met
and can only go to certain md's and hospitals and I live here! I
just finished paying for my pregnancy and my daughter was born
2 years ago! So, no. If we keep letting Illegals in and giving them
everything for free my health insurance costs will just keep going
up and so will my taxes! I can barely afford my home and car
right now with these gas prices and property taxes as it is!

oh yeah its happening all over...
here in maryland is the same thing, as far as prenatal care in the county that I work at there's only 1 facility that accepts people w/out insurance, and they're a butt hair away from dropping the illegal immigrant clients 'cause most of them 75% dont pay the rest of their already discounted bill. once they delivered.

When they come to the hospital and put in the applicatiions for medicaid, we tell them that we dont guarantee that they'll qualify
and that if they dont they got to pay the hospital out of pocket for the delivery
they look at you like you have 3 heads ("what paying, nobody said anything about paying"!) I even had people say that to me
I had one lady say to me : "but I dont want to pay, what do I do?'
and I got a thousand similar stories. I'm one of the relatively few Americans who have some kind of med insurance and I still got to pay 20% of my med bill.

I work in a hospital here where I live and the same thing goes on here. The crime about it is that ever since Medicaid quit issuing ID cards with photos, illegals pass the cards around for others to use.
Guess who pays for it in higher hospital costs?
