They perform the legal services they profess to perform; they tend to be pretty careful about the "extras", and on whom they will perform them.
But just because prostitution is illegal does not make it uncommon.

To say that police don't know about them is ridiculous. This is one of those things that keep hookers and johns off the street and out of the public eye. Imagine if you were to shut down every massage parlor that was a front for a brothel, how many more street walkers would there be? How many sexually frustrated men would become sexual predators commiting crimes? It's a give and take, as long as these so called massage parlors are not causing problems then the authoritys leave them alone.

Because in most states, massage is a licensed health care profession, same as a chiropractor's or dentist's offices. And in almost all the remaining states, it is still licensed as a health care profession by the county (rather than state). Massage therapy is a form of physical therapy, and there is nothing sexual about it.
Those who use the term "massage parlor" as an alias to mean "brothels" are being fraudulent. It's like calling someplace you to to get blowjobs a "dentist's office" because they both involve the mouth.
I was licensed as a massage therapist in New Hampshire years back. There, as in many other states, it's certified health care profession regulated by the state licensure board. The city of Manchester had declared that any clinic that does massage would be zoned as adult entertainment. The state heath department came down hard on the city, informed the city it was a licensed health care profession, and forced the city to change the zoning laws.
Don't confuse massage therapy with prostitution. Any more than you'd refer to Hersheys as a drug company just because some drug dealers refer to their drugs as candy.

Massage Parlors, prostitution in a professional manner, but still under eye watch. Escorts also have reliable contacts and their prices are high.
In today's market to establish a business and promote prostitution Thru legal aquires still makes it illegal, but they are careful not to get caught and screen all their clients.
Atlanta has the biggest escort service and if you are against it, then don't order your bride. If you want fun and excitement to keep you compnay and not necessarily sex is involved at least not right away. Some men that are wealthy enjoy a date for many occasions and the escort service is real and working great, but for those who want a little more usually pay for their services either way! There was party held in Columbus, Georgia for a retired Officer and the ladies chosen for the party were paid diligently for their services and no sex was involved. You have to weigh it out.

Depends on where you are.
In Singapore, first of all, prostitution is not illegal. Just controlled, you have to get a license and everything to operate. Cos then you will undergo health checks every month or so..
Various regulations have been tightened recently so that massage palors STAY AS massage places. Not one of those sleazy places.

With all the world's problems and people in need, what are we doing worrying about massage parlors or prostitution....if anything, prostitues need our help, not out condemnation by stupid police officers.

Massage parlors don't sell sex, they sell relaxing backrubs. There is nothing sexual about massage parlors, unlike prostitutes.

they just rub oil all over you. If you decide to ejaculate then you give them a big tip this is how they stay in business supply and demand. They also greese the politicians as well as code enforcement along with law enforcement who love to raid these places only when the right person is there at the wrong time.

"Happy ending" massage parlors stay in business by engaging in yet another illegal enterprise: bribery of law-enforcement officers.
Many porn shops and illicit massage parlors are run by the mob.
You know how it goes.
