It has come to my attention that most people on yahoo answers use an avatar... has this world come to a bunch of cartoon characters? Has everyone lost their real face? What is wrong with this world? Please people, use a pic, we don't care if you are ugly, pretty, fat or skinny, it is great to see who we are talking to.

I appreciate you all being worried for me, however, I have had my pic up for at least 5 years now and no one has ever been able to find me by it. If they do, i wish them luck trying to hurt me... you see, some of us trust in the goodness of people, and though you may all disagree, when you extend people your trust most of them are great to talk to... the losers go to my deep dark iggy bin... but really, thanks to all for your concern.

If everyone used pics there would be more imposters on Yahoo than you could imagine. Look at how out of hand the whole Edna thing has gotten. There are many other cases of impersonation as well. If someone speaks there mind and it offends the wrong individual or individuals they steal their image and their identity and either ask or make a lot of outrageous questions or statements that contradicts that persons belief. I like being anonymous so I don't even use an avatar. So sorry to disappoint you but the Cave man will not be using an avatar. Peace and God bless.

I don't like using real pics, especially on such a widely used site as Yahoo. I don't want thousands of people to see me and I'd feel more comfortable to say what I feel if I had some sense of anonymity. If it was not a mainstream site, like for a certain hobby or interest, and had a smaller number of visitors I probably would.
Besides, my avatar is pretty much what I look like anyway.

Christians believe each thing the lord has written for them contained in the holy Bible. It does communicate about how the earth changed into created despite the indisputable fact that it would not say something about the style of it or outerspace all the beginnings of creation are in Genesis. The lord left some issues a mistery for us! So it wasn't in easy words christians who believed the earth changed into flat, in easy words Europeans believed it to be round. so a techniques as we may be able to tell no one ever considered the international to be flat. The very earliest writings continuously describe the international as a dome or an upturned bowl or as a pile of soil or similar descriptions. that permits you to anticipate that human beings in no way idea the international changed into flat. That is sensible on account that every person who climbed even a small mountain could see particularly obviously that the international curves away on all facets. therefore they assumed it changed into formed like a dome, with their area close to the suitable. So the guy who first discovered that the international changed into round changed into probably some Persian or Babylonian astrologer 3, 000 years in the past. i wager the guy who 'proved' the international changed into round changed into Ferdinand Magellan, who changed into the first guy to sail international. That changed into the first time it changed into conclusively shown that the international changed into round.

What's wrong with the avatars Yahoo! provides? I don't want anyone stealing my picture. I've seen so many people steal pictures. Also, there is no way for me to have my picture uploaded into my computer. I wouldn't want people to see what I really look like anyway, stalkers are not fun.

I'd rather not show my picture to the whole world. There are lots of weirdos out there, you know. Save the pictures for when you meet special friends on the net. It's really kind of scary these days.

Like OMG you need a chill pill. Who cares if people have their picture posted or not. You even said we don't care if your pretty, ugly, fat, skinny so why does it matter so much that some of us use avatars?

Some people prefer to protect their identities because you just never know who you are talking to. Unfortunately, I have known people who picked up their very own stalkers from simply posting their pictures online. One girl I know was so frightened she had to go to the police. It's just better to be safe than sorry IMO.

I don't want anyone to know what I look like. It's too dangerous to put your real identity out there. Besides I'm not so starved for attention that I want the world to know what I look like.

Some of us don't like our faces enough, to let people online see them. Some don't want to be found by past relations. But if you want chat some time, regardless of age difference, I could show you what I look like.

I prefer to protect my true identity. The Internet is a big, wide open, scary place, there are a lot of nuts out there.
