if some one has their papers for a green card but never actualy got them can they stll be deported? if they can what will happen to the children? the childrens father is an imagrentg but her does have his green card and the eldist child is in college and was born in the US.

i have the papers for the damn card, but i have not gotten the card yet. and i have had the papers for some time.

If you mean there has been a green card awarded you and you haven't picked it up, just get it. If you mean you just applied, or meant to, the first might help but the second won't.

The children can go to the home country of the parent or stay if they were born in the US. The one in college should probably stay but it is a family decision.

The children that were born in the US are most definately US citizens and can never be deported. Not sure about the father.

sure as hell hope so. Deport anyone who is not here legally. The kids, unfortunately are still given automatic citizenship but hopefully that can be changed in the near future.
