I have my own rule...I will not date anyone who is old enough to have fathered me. So 14 or 15 years would be my limit...I know it could have happened at a younger age but that is just my way of dealing with it. I have found though that 10 years older is a perfect fit for me personally, my man is just over 10 years older than me, and it is working out awesome!! Good luck!!

There is no age limit. As long as you're comfortable with it, there's no problem. The only thing I worry about when people say they're with someone much older, is that you are both at completely different points in your life. For example, if you were 20 and he was 37. But I think once you get over 40, it really stops being an issue because you've reached the same level of maturity and you probably won't keep having kids.

I would say that it depends on the actual ages of the people. If you are 60 and dating an 80 year old I could care less...If you are 18 and dating someone 38 I have an issue with that. In the end I dont think age matters but I would rather see people under the age of 25 date in their own age range.

My husband and I have a twenty year age difference. I think what is more important are the ages of the people involved. I was all most 30 when we met, so I was well into my own adulthood.
I really doubt it would have worked if I had been 18 or 19 years old.
We have been together since 1994.

None really. I think that is only a concern when someone who is not yet 18 wants to date someone a lot older. For the most part before I married I always dated men much older than myself - having parents with a 13 yr age gap I see that as more normal. The biggest age gap I had between me and a bf was 19 yrs.

it depends how old you are. if you are over 20 then you can go as far apart as you feel comfortable. people will look at you a little differently if you go more than 20 years in difference of age, if you are 18-20 you should keep your age difference to a maximum of 6 years older than you. under 18 always make sure the person you are with is legal!!! good luck!!

Difference in ages is most notable when younger. As you get older a larger age difference is more workable. In my opinion, just 2 or 3 years difference is OK when under 20, and then much greater difference up to 10 years or so as you get into your 30's and 40's.

I think the best difference is 2 to 20 years, provided the lady is the younger one. More than 20 is too many.

I'm married to a man who is 20 years older than me. Honestly sometimes, the age difference does make things difficult, but not impossible. We communicate differently. We are at different stages in our careers (ie. he's about to retire, I'm just getting started). Because of his age, he's just not into the physical things that I am into- like sports. The good things- we had a child and he is a wonderful father. He's sown his wild oats, he's done with the bar scene, unless I'm with him. My parents love him... my stepfather and my husband are the same age (yes I know its weird!)
It has its pros and cons.. you just have to pick what is best for you.

i think there´s no limits for love but there will in the future cause remember that you are generations away...and that he will have different points of view about everything...just focus on what do you want about the relationship and if you see yourself with him in 10 years spending time together and sharing the same things and that the age wont be a problem for neither of you...remember that you are still going to be young and that he wont...
