it goes something like;

the bigger fleas have smaller fleas,
upon their backs to bite em.
the smaller fleas have smaller fleas,
and so on, ad infinitum

I don't know the author or the title

Hello scafool:

Big fleas have little fleas
Upon their backs to bite'em.
And little fleas have littler still,
And so,ad infinitum.

Big fleas have greater fleas,
Upon their backs to gnaw on...............

Great fleas have little fleas
upon their backs to bite 'em,
And little fleas have lesser fleas,
and so ad infinitum.
And the great fleas themselves, in turn,
have greater fleas to go on;
While these again have greater still,
and greater still, and so on.

So, naturalists observe, a flea
Hath smaller fleas that on him prey;
And these have smaller fleas to bite 'em,
And so proceed ad infinitum.
Thus every poet, in his kind,
Is bit by him that comes behind.

There was a flea and a fly in a flue
They didn't know what to do
Let us flee said the fly
Let us fly said the flea
and they flew through a flaw in the flue.

A flue is a chimney pipe by the way.
I do not know who wrote it, but I memorized it in school years ago.

I do not know any poems about fleas. Sorry. However, my mother always told us: If you lay down with dogs then you wake up with fleas.

I wish I were a gloworm
A gloworm's never glum
Cause how can you be glum
When the sun shines out your bum?

There goes the happy, bounding flea.
Can't tell the he from the she,
But he can tell,
And so can she.
