WinXP requires to be activated, when this is done, the pc configuration is stored on MS database to corespond with the Serial number used during installation. if you install the same copy on a different pc, then you attempt to activate the copy online, then it will prompt you that it has been activated already. Although there are ways around this, it is not something that is morally standing. best option, just buy a new copy

Well, the easiest and most legit thing to do would to buy another upgrade or full version. The easiest and most illegal thing you could do is burn the setup disc on a Blank CD-RW or DVD-R, She should still get updates. If you encounter any problems hit me up at MastaMike97@Gmail.com.

I have put the same program on 3 computers of mine at different locations with no problem...I think I recalled they let you register like 5 times or something with the same registration number if you represent to them that you are the computer owner...

you wont be able to activate the operating system on both PC's if they are using the same license code or COA. you could easily install windows onto her machine using the cd you have but if you dont have a seperate and unique product license code than you wont be able to run both computers with the same OS.

it depends where you live microsoft has stoped people in some countrys from getting the updates
you have to show a key to prove it is the real program
in australia we are blocked from getting one of the downloading programs but if i go to a website outside of australia that has it
its no problem.

No, you can only use one version per one computer, you cannot put it on another one. The EULA states this clearly.

You can but be sure to get your own COA (Certificate of Authenticity) so you can avoid potential legal prosecution in the future.
