Yes, it's a natural reaction of the muscles relaxing. It's common when someone is going to have a major heart attack they will feel they have to void their bowels. Often times they die while they are sitting on the commode. I know personally of several people this happened to while in their homes. I have also read about this phenomenon. Remember when Elvis died--he had a heart attack while sitting on the toilet.

Yes, when a human being dies they usually evacuate both bladder and bowel. In some very rare instances, (comatose person, terminally ill patient who has not eaten solid food in a while), there is nothing left in the bowels to expel.

All muscle tone relaxes at death, including the anal sphincter and bladder. The amount of "loss" depends on if the person has been eating/receiving some type of feeding or if food and fluids were stopped due to their terminal illness and eminent death.

Yes - it is true. When a person (or animal) dies, the muscles all relax, including the anus which therefor releases whatever it contained. Messy and gross - but true.

I think it is true. Thankfully, I've never seen a person do this, but my dad's dog lost control of his bladder when he died. He had colon cancer, so I don't think there was anything in his colon to come out when he died.

Yes it happens to animals too. The muscles all relax so the bladder and sphincter relax also.

Yes, it is true. All of their muscles relax. It is the muscles that control your bowels.
