Welcome back, and yes its a whole new world after even 7 years! First off you wont be alone for ever, very rarly is that the case even though we worry about it....
Second I would suggest just going about your life and dont worry about it to much, after a married ends sometimes we just need a little time to get to know ourselves again, sort of decide what we want...
In regards to women doing the asking, of course they do! But of course if you meet someone you like know that we still want to be asked.
And lastly check out online dating sites....its all the rage, it requires a lot less time and it lets you ease into the dating scene.

Are there any singles meetings or groups in your area ? Do your kids play any sports or in any clubs? I would get involved in social events around your town,if your kids do play sports or are in any clubs ask around and find out where all the singles are meeting !! Good Luck !!

That's a good question; it's the same dilemma for single women, especially with kids involved. You'll probably meet someone when you're least expecting it. Good luck to you, you sound like a good dad.
