I think having a good sense of humor is a natural gift that some people just have. I don't really think its inherited. You can have a person in the same family that has a sense of humor & another member that doesn't.

I don't think it is really inherited, but I do think it is something that can be learned from our parents IF they have a good sense of humor. I can't think of anyone who I know who has a sense of humor in spite of having very sober parents.
And part of it is a natural gift. I'm known for my sense of humor, but it isn't anything like my sister's. She can get people laughing so hard that they can't stop. There have been times when I've asked her, "How on earth did you ever think of that?!"

Sense of humor is learned from life. None of us are getting out of here alive so you might as well enjoy!

neither... it is just an expression of one's well being, his outlook in life, how one treats it. it's easier for others since they often inject humour for several reasons. seeking attention, easing other people's frustrations, way of living, etc...
having a good sense of humor is accepting life as it is, making the most of it, and enjoying life whatever it offers to one.... that's the secret of having a good sense of humor...
why did the chicken cross the road? coz he couldn't circle the street? or to lazy to fly over the road? whatever....

To some extent it is genetic but whether inherited or not it definitely makes life interesting.
