well by example ..and since we are supposed to follow the example of Jesus ...we should attend ...also in the bible it says in Hebrews 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
To be in the presence of God with others as a congregation..is Gods way...because although you can usher in the presence of God in your prayer closet...if you remember..in the book of Acts 1st and 2nd chap...
Acts 1:13-15 showing there were 120 gathered together in the upper room...and in Acts 2nd chap..the holy Ghost came in and filled them if it were not meant for a congregation to be ..God would not have approved...God bless

You are Where God Is, God is Where You are. A Church is but a building. The Church itself is a hierarchy that has planted itself between Man & God. It can be helpful to ask a minister to interceed but ultimately it is you and God / Godess. Sunday is merely an opportunity to meet with co-religionist and share in the experience of worship. There is no reason why it has to be Sunday. It can be any day that a group wishes to meet. Worship where you want to - - - there are many sacred places. Churches can be pretty and pretty spiritual but you can also commune with Godess/God in a grove in the forest or on a beach or in a museum. Peace.

I think that God is all around us, and he loves us no matter if were in a church or not! I do not go to church, I have a hectic work week that does not allow me to be off work on the weekends! I know that he is here with me and I thank him every day that I am alive and he has brought me great joy! I do happen to catch Joel Olsteen every Sunday morning after I finish my long night at work! I look forward to watching him every Sunday morning! That is good enough for me!

No it is not ok to miss Church on Sundays when you believe in God & pray to Him.
Why not? Because if you believe in Him the place of worship is at Church. Moreover, if you are not a regular Church goer, than the chances are, you probably do not regularly pray either(even if you think that you do).
Does that make sense?

The Bible says not to forsake the gathering of yourselves together, and Jesus is the one who explains to John in Revelation, the church the Jesus started, so there is some uncorrupted establishments out there, don't forsake Church, it's forsaking the whole Godhead and the Believers. Besides, Church is for encouragement, it's for social and spiritual standards, it's supposed to be a Blessing to attend church, so don't miss out!

Missing a few Sundays for reason is fine. However if you start believing that you can REPLACE fellowship with other believers and learning with others who can help you along with simply being alone and praying then you are likely going down a path that is dangerous. Remember that the enemy is like a lion seeking whom he may devour and Lions seek those who are BY THEMSELVES and without the protection of others.

The bible says not to forsake the assembling of ourselves with other believers and even more so as you see the day approaching. We receive strength from other believers and learn about the bible and pray for each other at church. At least at my church we do, I'm Assembly Of God.

Yes, as long as you live your life to glorify God, you don't have to go every Sunday. Keeping the Sabbath was one of the commandments that wasn't carried over to the New Testament.

I don't think it really matters. It's nice and sometimes socially healthy to gather with others and worship God in your most comfy way.
But way I see it: you don't need a church or it's members to really worship and honor God: you just need to commit to the faith in pure heart, ascribe/study the Bible and strive to live by God's way.
Still, going to church isn't a bad idea: it's much like getting further in-depth Biblical meaning of scripture and also like a "support group" in your faith.

I believe it is OK. If you have the Lord in your heart and live as a Christian I think that is what matters. Church is a gathering of people who believe as you do, and the fellowship is nice but I don't feel you must go to live a Christian life.
