Yes if you forget the pill a couple of times you could get pregnant. If you take one late of forget one do not have unprotected sex for at least a week. No birth control pills should not weaken your chances of getting pregnant later. All they do is prevent the release of an egg into your uturus. When you get off of birth control your body will probably release an egg your first month afterwards.

Hey Hun, sounds like you have a lot of questions...hope I can help!
#1 Being on the pill now does NOT affect your chances of getting pregnant. What you want to concieve, just go off the pill, and you're good to go! (It's best to wait a month or two after going off the pill before you try to concieve.)
#2 If you forget to take your pills, yes, you do have a chance of getting pregnant now. It isEXTREAMLY important that you take them everyday, at the same time. If you miss a pill, follow the directions. (Usually they say to take the pill as soon as you forget, unless it's close enough to take two the next day. After missing two or more, plan another way of contraception until next month.)
#3 If you get pregnant from missing a pill or two, it is likely that the fetus will not properly implant, and you will likely miscarry during your next period.
#4 If you don't miscarry, yes, the pills will harm your baby. It's a thin line to walk, and that is why you MUST take the pills every day, at the same time.
It would be wise for you to have a good health care provider (and a OBGYN) to talk to about these questions. Please seek advice from them, cause most people on here don't really know.
(If you don't have a doc, and I understand that, a good resource is anatomy and physiology teachers at a local college. Give one a call and see if you can talk to them. They are so happy to talk! You could also try finding a cheap anatomy and physiology book online, and read the reproductive chapters.)
Planned Parenthood is a good resource too.
Good luck Hun!
P.S. Smoking and the pill are a bad combo too, just thought you should know!! :)

I doubt birth control pills will lessen your chances of having a baby in the future. All the pill is, is a hormone pill to keep you regulated and prevent pregnancy. Once you get off of it, you could get pregnant. If you miss a pill and have unprotected sex, you could get pregnant. But I'm sure if you miss like one day and take it the very next day, you should be ok because the pill should be in your system, but its best to take it every day. I never knew the answer to if you were pregnant and still taking the pills, because it would make your period start, how would you know your pregnant. But I guess if you think you are, take a test and see and see a doctor.

Any time we put artificial things in our body to alter it's function we are taking a chance of harming our bodies, but if you are having sex without marriage you are taking an uncomfortable chance. The pills will not effect your ability to have children. Be very cautious if you take an antibiotic while you are on the pill because the antibiotic can alter the chemistry of your body. Yes, if you forget to take the pills you CAN get pregnant! Forgetting to take the pill is very dangerous because this can cause you to conceive. The only way the pills works properly is to take them every day! The pill can effect the child if you get pregnant and continue to take the pills.

The pill will not weaken your chances of getting pregnant someday. I was on it for 15 years, have 3 kids.
Yes, you could get pregnant if you miss pills. Look up your brand online or read the insert, it will tell you what to do if you miss pills.
The pills are just hormones, when you get pregnant just stop them ASAP. Check with the insert again or your doctor for details.

I've used them for over 15 years and i think I'm fine..every-time i wanted to get pregnant i stopped taking them ,waited a month and tried and got pregnant and i have 3 healthy kids. if you forget 1 day take 2 the next and you wont get pregnant,if you miss 2 you may wanna use another method for 7 days to be safe.i don't think it would hurt the baby,i always worried about things like that but i never got pregnant when i was using them.

When you decide to have a baby, it may take six months or so for your fertility to return to normal after you go off the pill. After that, your fertility should be normal.
if you forget to take your pills, you CAN become pregnant.
If you are pregnant and still taking the pill, you should stop immediately and see your doctor. My exhusband was born healthy after his mother took pills for the first three months of her pregnancy. So, you can have a healthy baby.
