Your prayer should reflect your desire and to word it just as your question would be sufficient. The important thing though is to realize that the Holy Spirit resides within you already, if you are a Christian and a believer in Jesus Christ. His "perfect peace" that you seek is possible IF and ONLY IF your life is such that you don't grieve the Holy Spirit with your unconfessed sins that each of us commit daily. Many of us grieve the Holy Spirit by allowing unconfessed sin to reside within our lives as well as the lifestyle that we choose to follow. Desiring that Inner perfect peace is one thing but there is an obligation upon our part to present our bodies and lives clean and available to be used by the Holy Spirit and only then will you achieve that Perfect Peace you desire. It's like seeing through a cloudy or stained window. Once you clean it, squeaky clean, you can see perfectly through it.

Breathe him in through your mouth, pray with all your heart. Pray without ceasing (in your heart through your day...focus on him and this deep desire of your heart) and read his promises in His Word. Be careful of driving and using machinery during this time.
It took me three days before he began bubbling over and through me and I began to speak in tongues. I was 14 years old then. I'm going to be 50 next month. His spirit will never leave you once you've been filled. (Even if you stray). No one layed hands on me. It was just the Lord and my desire to know Him more fully. If you feel you need someone to help you, call or attend a charismatic church such as Assembly of God. Be careful of cults. I know Assembly of God is strong in the Spirit and won't take advantage of you. God's Spirit is the peace that only someone who has experienced it can understand. Don't let anti-Christians who answer these questions intimidate you. They just don't know understand spiritual matters.
I'm praying for you and will continue to do so. Email me if you want.

It should be prayer from your heart. You don't have to do a repetous prayer. Just ask him to give you perfect peace. Remember pray without ceasing.

Recite the 23rd Psalm...it always works for me.
That and the Prayer of St. Francis:
Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
and where there is sorrow, joy.
O, Divine Master,
grant that I may not seek so much
to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love;
for it is in giving that we receive;
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
and it is in dying that we are born
unto eternal life.
Amen.
