First of all, the picture that you have identifying you, should not be used. You are cheating people who come to answer.

Which finger salute? The rude one? Hmmmmmmm No wonder your dad did not tell you the facts.

The one finger salute is giving someone the middle finger. Why your dad would tell you it means god is #1, is beyond me. It is an insult to someone who you give it to and basically means you are telling someone to 'shove it'.

That's funny because my dad used to say the same thing. He'd hold up his index finger as if to wave and said that meant "One God". Not surprisingly, Dad was the ONLY one I ever knew that thought that.
Now the middle finger? It is much more universally recognized.
