Go to format-->Paragraph-->and then on line spacing select double.
If you already have text in your document make sure you highlight in first.

Don't know what you mean by 'double spacing'. Is it for line space or character space?
For character, following the menu path:
format - font, click "Character Spacing" - Spacing - expanded - specify the size.
But I didn't find the "double spacing" option.
For line spacing, the menu path is: format - paragragh, spacing - line spacing (select 'double').

Click on the menu option Format then click on Paragraph.
A new window will appear.
Under the section called "Spacing", there's an option called Line spacing that you can change.

hope it helps!
