The central figure, or leader, of the earth-wide assault against God's Kingdom and its subjects, according to Revelation, is Satan the Devil. He is the only person in the Biblical record who can be said to fulfill adequately the description and role assigned to 'Gog of Magog' in the prophecy given to Ezekiel. The prophecy in Ezekiel concerning Gog therefore points to a vicious, earth-wide assault on God's people, an assault engineered and led by Satan the Devil. This is what triggers the complete wiping out of such Satanic forces by means of God's awesome power. (Ezekiel 38:18-22)

Its mentioned in Ezekiel as well as in Revelation

According to Josephus Magog represens the Scythians, a great race spread over the country now occupied by Southern Russia.

The name Gog occurs as the name of a prince in Eze_38:2-3, Eze_38:16, Eze_38:18; Eze_39:1, Eze_39:11. “He is an invader of the land of Israel, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal,” Eze_38:2. Magog is also mentioned in Eze_38:2, “the land of Magog; and in Eze_39:6, “I will send a fire on Magog. As the terms are used in the Old Testament, the representation seems to be that Gog was the king of a people called Magog.

Gog is a person who will come from the land called Magog. Some people think Magog is Russia. Some think it's Turkey. Some think Iran. And some think Iraq. I don't know for sure, but I'm kind of doubting that it will be Russia. We'll just have to watch and see.
