Yay! From my experiences with Japanese exchange girls, they seem to enjoy sports like tennis and volleyball a lot. They also have enjoyed being in band and listening to music. Take her to a restaurant, or over to a friend's house! Watch a movie or two. Or go see one at the theatre! Take her to local cities and stores. The ones I've had seem to really enjoy shopping, especially for clothes, lol. ;) Make cool crafts with her! Creative and active stuff is always enjoyable. Ganbatte (good luck)! =D

How about a good board game like Monopoly?

How about seeing a movie at a theater?

How about asking and answering questions here? I would like more international input.

How about playing cards such as UNO, Rook, or gin-rummy?

You can also share in her culture if she brought any games with her.

For neverending fun you can play Tic Tac Toe or paper, scissors, rocks. Those are good games but highly repetitive.

You can go to the toy store and look at their board games and see what games are APPROPRIATE for your age range.

Well,im in Chicago Childrens choir, recently last summer we went to Japan for a week and stayed with host families. They had the same problem with me. What they did was computers, television(even though i had the slightest clue of what was being said, but it interested me,so it should interest her). And also listen to music. Tell her i said konechewa.

How about doing some scrapbooking, journaling or just showing each other customs from the other country. Play scrabble or just learn to write and speak each others language.
